Varistor voltage(breakdown voltage): The voltage between two terminals under the specified measuring current 0.1mA or 1mA DC applied is called varistor voltage.Maximum allowable voltage:The maximum allowable voltage is the maximum value which keep the varistor stay in standby state . As the line voltage flucating and temperature rasising, varistor begin to work and prone to lose efficacy under continuous high voltage. There is still a small leakage current through standby varistor to keep the equipment work normally.
Maximum clamping voltage: The peak value between two lead terminations when passing an 8/20 class current pulse. Its an indicator of varistor play its protection function. The smaller the value, the higher the protection level.
